My name is Finley Dunlop and from the hills of Vermont to the oak hammocks of South Florida my life has been shaped by time in the field. Years of chasing animals, learning land, and putting in the kind of effort that can’t be faked.

 

Long before this was ever a business, it was an obsession, early mornings, long sits, missed opportunities, and figuring things out through experience.

 

That foundation is what Hammocks & Hills Outfitters is built on.

 

I’ve spent countless hours not only hunting, but studying animal behavior, scouting new ground, and understanding what it really takes to consistently put people in the right position. Every hunt is different, and that’s what I respect most about it, there are no shortcuts, no guarantees, and no replacing time in the woods.

 

At the same time, I’ve built a career behind the camera. As a professional photographer and videographer, I bring a second layer to every hunt I guide. I spend my time capturing real, unscripted moments,whether it’s the buildup, the hunt itself, or the reaction after a successful shot. Being able to document those experiences for clients is just as important to me as the hunt itself. It’s about giving people something they can look back on for the rest of their lives.

 

But above everything else, what drives me the most is seeing other people succeed.

 

There is nothing like watching someone work a bird, stay patient, and finally get their shot at a longbeard. Whether it’s someone’s first turkey or a seasoned hunter chasing a new challenge, being part of that moment is what means the most to me. The excitement, the payoff, the respect for the animal—that’s what it’s all about. That’s what I love to do, through and through.

 

This isn’t a numbers game and it’s not a volume operation. I care about doing things the right way, ethical hunting, real effort, and giving every client a genuine experience. When you hunt with me, you’re not just another booking. You’re getting someone fully invested in your hunt from start to finish.
